Pathology department is high special laboratory and has been concerning with the stud of the derangements of tissue structure and function that appear in disease and the correlation of these change clinical signs and symptoms.
The department applied high quality Hematoxylin Eosin staining method as well special staining teachniques: PAS, Trichrome, PTAH, Red Congo and Van-Geason.
The department diagnosed about 16980 histopathologic cases and 365 forensic pathology cases eachn year. The department provides large and complex anatomic and clinical pathology services to some hospitals of south provinces. And department also contributes graduate program leading to PhD or Master degree in practical pathology and trains pathologists of province hospital
